QIAGEN GmbH is one of the leading companies in PCR test kits. Through the QIAStatDx – PCR Kits , eight different respiratory diseases can be diagnosed in a single test run.
Initially, production was carried out using isolated workstations. During my time on the project, the production was shifted to fully automated production.
I accompanied this process as an IT project engineer.

My tasks

  • Working in a team of hardware engineers, data scientists and QA experts.
  • Definition and coordination discussions for interfaces in the "QIAStatDx Large Scale Line" project (fully automated production line)
  • Concepts and implementation of an IPC (In–Process Control) for Shop Floor Data Acquisition "QIAStatDx Large Scale Line"
  • Coordination of software projects with solution providers (Mettler-Toledo LabX, B&P LP4/LP5 - Labelprinting)
  • Concepts and implementations for transferring data to the Azure Cloud (IoT hub, event hub, BLOB storage, MSSQL databases)
